Dining

Meal plans at UIS are convenient and flexible declining balance accounts that are accepted at all Food Service locations and campus vending machines. The university does not require students to eat at certain times or use a certain number of meals each week. Students do not pay for missed meals and are able to meet their own personal dining habits and needs.

The UIS Diversity Center offers a diverse range of programs, activities and workshops that are educational, cultural and social. Committed to supporting and promoting multicultural awareness, the staff develops program that increase understanding and appreciation of all cultural differences by familiarizing the campus community with the contribution and histories of African American, American Indian, Asian, Latino/Hispanic, International, LGBTQ, and all culturally diverse students.

Campus Recreation

Cricket Field: Located south of University Drive, just east of the UIS Baseball Field. Equipment rental including bats, pads, and wickets can be checked out by students from TRAC.

Challenge Course: A course consisting of ground events, as well as utilizing initiatives which consist of poles, wires, platforms, and ropes a few inches to a couple of feet off the ground.

Disc Golf Course: The 18-hole campus disc golf course is perfect for any skill-level.

Kiwanis Stadium Basketball Court: The Kiwanis Stadium Basketball Court is located just north of the Sport Club Field. 

REC Park: Offers a sand volleyball court, outdoor basketball court, horseshoe courts, swing set, mini-golf course, softball field, flag football/soccer fields, and corn-hole boards.

Student Life Building (SLB) Gymnasium: One of the most popular spaces for student organizations to host activities on campus. On any given day you may find a dodgeball game, dance practice, dance parties, and other activities being held in this space.

The Recreation and Athletic Center (TRAC): TRAC boasts a 23,000 square foot arena available for multiple indoor sports. It offers three fitness areas, a Multi-Purpose Room, and two racquetball/squash courts. TRAC also serves as the home of UIS Men’s & Women’s Basketball and UIS Women’s Volleyball.
